Entry #6. 3 Horror Movies To Watch This Halloween.

 

Hello and welcome back to another blog post! In honor of Halloween approaching, I thought something different should be talked about. From slasher films to supernatural horror, there are an overwhelming amount of movies to watch this Halloween. My goal today is to introduce three movies to watch this Halloween. With that being said let's kick off our small list. 

1. Halloween (1978) 

The first film on our list is a true Halloween classic. If you want to watch a movie that evokes a true Halloween feel, this is your movie! 

Halloween (1978) follows a young babysitter Laurie Strode on Halloween night, trying to survive the night as her estranged Brother Michael Myers has escaped an asylum to hunt her and her friends down.

This movie is a Halloween watch essential as it birthed one of the earliest scream queens Jamie Lee Curtis,  and will give you all the spooky feelings you desire. 

2. The Strangers (2008) 

The second film on the list is one of the most suspenseful and eerie horror movies I have seen to date. This story follows a young couple Kristen and James as they return from a friend's wedding to a remote summer home. From the start of the movie, we endure a sad tone as the young couple is going through issues with their relationship as a subplot. The main plot follows their attempt to escape a sadistic game of cat and mouse stemming from 3 masked strangers with no motive for doing what they are doing to them. 

This movie is 100% a Halloween essential as the aspect of the strangers having no motive is the most eerie part of it all and will leave you spooked! 

3. Jeepers Creepers (2001) 

The last film on our list is a very iconic portrayal of a demonic creature that needs to be fed every 23 years for 23 days. In this story, we are met with a brother and sister named Darry and Trish. They encounter this creature on their drive home from college and with many twists and turns, they fight to survive the night and get away from this creature. Unfortunately one of the siblings possesses something that the creature wants and it will stop at nothing to get what it wants. 

This movie is a great choice if you're looking for a spooky movie that is very unpredictable with many twists and turns.
